With 70 miles of pristine coastline, you’ll find a sandy spot
perfect for every desire, whether it’s adventure, family fun,
or a slice of SoCal culture. Here are some of our favorites:
Coronado Central Beach
Glistening sand and gentle waves make
this vast beach great for families. At low
tide, explore the tide pools in front of the
Hotel del Coronado, keeping an eye out
for sea creatures like starfish and mussels.
Torrey Pines State Beach
Located at the bottom of 300-foot cliffs of
white and golden stone, this picturesque
beach is a prime location for an invigorating morning hike in Torrey Pines State
Reserve and an afternoon of lazing on
shore. When you reach the summit, watch
for grey whales in route to and returning
from Baja (December to April).
Torrey Pines Glideport
Voted the #1 beach in the country by a national expert, this sand dune- rich beach is perfect for families, long walks and sea shell-collecting. Make sure to wander into the small-town village for shopping or a bite to eat.
