West Coast Swing. Since 1968, the tournament has been held at the stunning Torrey Pines Golf Course,
named for the rare gnarled tree found on the cliffs of La Jolla’s rugged coast. The world tunes in to watch
the top pros in the Farmers Insurance Open, as this high-stakes golf event comes with major bragging
rights and a cash prize of more than $1 million for the first-place winner. The event takes place along
the coastal bluffs of La Jolla on both championship courses, known for their ocean and canyon views.
