Farmers Insurance Open
Since 1952, top golfers have journeyed to San Diego to kick off the
PGA Tour at an event now known as the Farmers Insurance Open.
Since 1968, the tournament has been held at the stunning Torrey
Pines Golf Course, named for the rare gnarled tree found on the cliffs
of La Jolla’s rugged coast. The world tunes in to watch the top pros,
as this high-stakes golf event comes with major bragging rights and a
cash prize of more than $1 million for the first-place winner. The event
takes place January 25–28, 2018 on both championship courses,
known for their epic ocean and canyon views.
