DEL MAR’S DOG BEACH

CORONADO CENTRAL BEACH
Voted the number one beach in the country by national
experts, this beach is rich with sand dunes and gentle waves
and is perfect for families, long walks and seashell collecting. At low tide, explore tide pools in front of the Hotel del
Coronado, and be sure to wander into the quaint village to
check out shops and grab a bite to eat.
LA JOLLA SHORES
Gentle waves, a grassy park and a playground make this mile-long sandy stretch shielded by La Jolla Bay popular with families, scuba divers, snorkelers and surfers alike. It’s also the only
beachfront boat launch site within city limits, making it a prime
spot for ocean kayaking, too.
This pint-size, secluded beach at the bottom of coastal bluffs
is a great spot to swim, surf, kayak or explore caves carved into
the cliffs. Great tide pools are just to the north. The beach
is accessible via a concrete ramp that begins at Fletcher

This wide, white-sand beach is ideal for
swimming, surfing, sunbathing, fishing and
recreation. Recently updated facilities include
volleyball and tennis courts, equipment rentals,
