The Scoop: Handcrafted cocktails and
Mediterranean tapas served in a cozy yet
elegant environment. Drink: Sangria is
$25 by the pitcher and cocktails are $8.
Nibble: Try some of the tapas, like spicy
patatas bravas, artisan salami, or duck
liver mousse. Drink discounts are
available daily from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.;
tapas are $4 from 3 p.m. to closing.

The Scoop: Pacific Rim flavors play a
starring role at this Coronado restaurant
with views of the downtown skyline and
San Diego Bay. Drink: During weekday
happy hour (Monday to Friday, 3 p.m.
to 6: 30 p.m.), sip premium martinis
($6–$7), wine ($5 a glass), or a signature
cocktail like a mango or pomegranate
mojito ($6). Nibble: Bites range from $4
to $6. Try the Thai chicken spring rolls
or coconut crunchy shrimp.

lemonade. Nibble: Savor pomme frites with a trio of dips, a charcuterie platter, or go for the petite
macaroni and pancetta gratin. It’s easily one of the restaurant’s top dishes to try. Happy hour runs
weekdays from 3: 30 p.m. to 5: 30 p.m.; all items are $4 to $8.

The Scoop: This longtime favorite
destination for traditional Mexican fare and
festive cocktails features strolling Mariachis
and a breezy courtyard with fountains.
Drink: Margaritas are the main attraction.
Get a Coyote Gold margarita for $4.95 (or
upgrade to strawberry or coconut for $1
more) during happy hour, 3: 30 p.m. to 6
p.m., Monday to Friday and 3: 30 to close on
Tuesdays. Draft beer and specialty shots are
