There are many reasons San Diego is consistently rated one of the top vacation des- tinations in North America,
but probably none are more significant
than our optimistic spirit. The community’s dedication to being authentic
while still embracing evolution is continually acknowledged by its inclusion
on travel industry Top 10 lists.
While San Diego has 70 miles of
breathtaking beaches, friendly locals
and a laid-back atmosphere that’s
both warm and inviting, it’s certainly
more than a beach town. It offers a
range of opportunities that appeal to
all ages, interests and budgets. A host
of major events include PGA tours,
restaurant and craft beer weeks,
Comic-Con, Broadway-bound hits, the
2021 U.S. Open golf tournament, thoroughbred racing, Extreme Sailing and
more. San Diego’s vibrant neighborhoods, such as uptown’s North Park,
Little Italy with its “Top Chef Row,”
and downtown’s walkable Gaslamp
Quarter, feature lively dining, music
and nightlife scenes.
California’s fascinating history
is brought to life in Old Town San
Diego’s shops, restaurants and historic
sites, and at Cabrillo National Monu-
ment, where Europeans first landed in
California in 1542. San Diego boasts a
collection of world-class attractions,
including SeaWorld, the San Diego
Zoo and Safari Park, Legoland Cali-
fornia and the USS Midway Museum,
to name a few.
Balboa Park, the nation’s largest
urban cultural park, is home to the
celebrated Old Globe theater and 17
museums and cultural institutions.
Mission Bay beckons water sport
enthusiasts for everything from kaya-
king and sailing to wakeboarding and
windsurfing along 27 miles of sandy
shoreline. You can also take a short
drive to San Diego’s East County to
enjoy casino gaming and beautiful
mountain and desert landscapes.
Whether you are looking for a place
to relax, energize, be entertained or
reconnect with family and friends,
San Diego offers the perfect setting.
We hope you will visit us soon!
